Not quite painting, not quite photography. The artist’s works move between large-scale painting and analog photography. For her exhibition at the Salzburg Kunstverein – her first solo presentation in a public institution – she presents these new paintings together with a floor installation. Based on – and in reaction to – notions of identity formation, especially in expressions of contemporary youth culture, her recent works convey a general insecurity and a wages, indeterminate sense of self.
