African lifestyle, music, dance, percussion, lectures, readings, workshops, culinary delights and much more – all this awaits visitors to the Afrika Tage Wien festival on the Danube Island near Floridsdorf Bridge. The festival makes a stop on the Danube Island and brings besides an extensive gastro offer, a colorful world bazaar and a colorful music program. On stage you can experience the roots reggae artist Abdou Day from France/Madagascar, Walshy Fire – who became famous with Africa meets Karibic, the Hans Theessink Band with “A Blues & Roots Revue”, Jamaram meets Jahcoustics, Marla Glen, Milow and Russkaja. The Afrika Tage Wien Festival sees itself as a bridge builder between cultures and is committed to the arts, social engagement and international openness. In addition to the diversity of African culture, it is the organizer’s concern to point out the many problems of the African continent.
