In 2022, the nextcomic festival takes on the characteristics “visible – invisible – not visible”.
The question of how the “invisible” is represented in drawings will be explored. How do comic artists create ghosts and hidden beings, how do they illustrate the fantastic?
In addition, scenarios are illuminated in which invisible phenomena and abstract concepts such as feelings and thoughts are rendered pictorially.
The nonfiction graphic does entirely without ghosts and metaphors. Real narratives about people who are socially invisible and unable to participate equally in society are also part of the festival.
In 2022, the boundaries of perception are tracked down, explored and overcome.
