The exhibition shows works by Alois Mosbacher (*1954), an important representative of New Painting of the 1980s. The expressive objectivity in his works is expressed in a tension between painting and graphics. At the center of Mosbacher’s reflections is man – in relation to his Habitat an to nature, of which he himself is a part.
Every four or five years, Alois Mosbacher appears with a series of paintings that actively intervenes in the international discussion of painting. Over the years he created a highly relevant work.
Mosbacher’s works range from figurative and abstract painting to installations. He is one of the most important representatives of New Painting of the 1980s.
