The artist Winfried Ritsch uses a robotic spatial organ – created from a deconstructed church organ – as automaton pianists, which will be supplemented with further sound automatons during the exhibition period. For Klangautomata, Winfried Ritsch continues the researching, laboratory-like character of his artistic approach in order to explore autonomous devices within a network and thereby test various Klangautomata as loAT (Internet of Art Things) works of art

In the three-part development phase, Ritsch and his laboratory assistants create a side world parallel to the exhibition. In the second phase, new sound machines are developed and prepare the side world that is activated during the midissage. In the time between midissage and finissage, visitors can experience the outside world of the esc mkl.

For Art’s Birthday on January 17, 2023, closes Klangautomata Nebenwelt with a concert.
