The large anniversary exhibition shows a diverse picture of the current artistic creations of the members from the visual arts, but also from architecture, photography, music and literature.

With currently around 150 performing artists, the Innviertel artist guild is one of the oldest artist associations in Austria. As a regional association without institutional or political obligations, it was and is close to the roots and biotope of regional cultural creativity.

Their networking with the regional art history, world of forms and languages and their authentic, creative and identity-forming handling of them, but above all the creative diversity of the members, makes it possible to discuss burning questions and themes of the time and art on a large and small scale in a stimulating discourse and to create culture together against today’s trend of isolation.

The 100th anniversary is also an opportunity to look back: all 450 members of the last 100 years are presented in a jubilee book, which is published at the same time as the exhibition, and the history of the IKG is also critically reviewed from a contemporary historical perspective for the first time.
