Energy – an explosive and highly topical topic.
Judith Fegerl’s media-diverse artistic work explores the possibilities of electrical energy as a sculptural and imaging material.
For the exhibition “on/” the artist is working on new sculptural as well as two-dimensional works and objects that deal with space in a site-specific manner in two respects, namely architecturally and historically.
“You can’t see them, you can’t hear them, and to a certain extent you can’t feel them either. Nevertheless, electrical energy is the basis of our modern, technological life: progress and development, utility and luxury, but also conflicts about distribution and provision and, above all, environmental problems – energy is a highly political substance.” (Judith Fegerl)
