Schäxpir 2023 is dedicated to magic. Theater is a magical place where stories are created from stories, stories about stories are told and it’s always about who is telling who, by and about someone!
Times like these require special narrative styles. Stories that pose the question of whether what is supposedly real is really real, or whether what is invented has not caught up with reality long ago.
People who say they don’t believe in magic should be asked if they believe in art. Or whether they believe in an unseen force that shows us the possibility that nothing is fixed and anything is possible. At best, they should go to the theater, where transformation and change take place. Where you can daydream, be surprised and enchanted at the same time.
It’s a kind of magic!
