Hope has always been a double-edged sword. Hope is what remains when nothing more can be done. Hope is the admission of failure that can only rely on the unavailable: on a miracle. But hope is also what keeps us going in dark times and makes us believe in a future.
The whole dichotomy and dimension of a fundamental attitude and emotion against the background of our crisis-ridden world is the focus of the 26th Philosophicum Lech. Under the title “All will be well. On the Dialectic of Hope”, renowned speakers will discuss this topic in detail from 19 to 24 September. Speakers and discussants include Michael Köhlmeier, Karl Gaulhofer, Univ. Prof. Dr. Konrad Paul Liessmann, Univ. Prof. Dr. Christine Abbt, Dr. Philipp Blom and Univ. Prof. Dr. Catrin Misselhorn.
