The exhibition project Exposure / Double Exposure is part of the curatorial project Fields of Focus, which investigates photographic practices in contemporary art in their respective social and political contexts.
Double Exposure – curated by Anna Voswinckel – is designed as a continuation of the investigation into continuities and transformations of subjective visual languages in artistic photography that began with the previous group exhibition Exposure.
In Double Exposure, the focus is on works that were developed from found image archives or collections and that react to the dispositives and aesthetics of recording associated with the respective media with individual procedures of visual (re)inscription of unavailable or repressed experience.
On display are works by Rebekka Bauer, Oliver Husain & Kerstin Schroedinger, Sara-Lena Maierhofer, Sim Chi Yin, Lisa Holzer, Flo Maak, Sophie Meuresch, Georg Petermichl, Stefanie Seufert and Niklas Taleb.
