To mark the 30th anniversary of the recognition of the Rom*nija ethnic group in Austria, the exhibition presents the Romani language – with its roots in India and Europe, its particular linguistic richness and its literary output in Austria.
At the centre of the exhibition is a 12-minute exhibition film – with an animated word journey about the migration from India to Europe, with the earliest audio documents of Romani, with statements on and in Romani by representatives of the ethnic group.
The associations Romano Centro in Vienna and Roma Service in Kleinbachselten/Burgenland are co-operation partners of the exhibition. With contributions by Fevzije Bahar, Ivana Bocko, Gergana Chapaeva, Rebecca Anca Covaciu, Barka Emini, Emmerich Gärtner-Horvath, Susanne Horvath, Alisa Jovanović, Mile Jovanović, Kiara Kamer, Rabie Perić, Zaklina Radosavljević, Justin Sarközi and Nuna Stojka.
