The Vienna Blues Spring Festival is all about bluesy sounds! For over two months, Vienna’s finest blues will be on offer at four established venues: International and local blues greats such as Kofi Baker, Hans Theessink, RUF Blues Caravan, Rob Tognoni and Marvin Scondo will be performing at the Wiener Reigen. At the Akzent theatre, the Mojo Blues Band invites you to a traditional bluesy Palm Sunday. And the Wien Holding museums Haus der Musik and Mozarthaus Vienna are once again hosting very special performers as part of this year’s Blues Spring.
Three unique concerts in the “Blues unplugged” category will be performed in the Bösendorfer Hall at Mozarthaus Vienna as part of Blues Spring. On 15 May there will be a “Reading Rock” reading with Gordon McMichael, Andi Appel and Dietmar Hoscher. The following day (16 May), the remarkable singer Ines Dallaji alias Bad Ida will delight the audience. She is now one of the biggest talents on the local music scene, and her repertoire ranges from Americana to soul and rock. And on 17 May there will be a performance by blues virtuosos Moritz Gamper and Gottfried Gfrerer. Hermann Posch & Band play “Clapton unplugged” at the Haus der Musik.
The 20th Vienna Blues Spring concludes on 31 May with another exceptional guitarist, Marvin Scondo.
