The anniversary exhibition takes you through 40 years of Carmen Margot Lins’ painting with the rare painting technique of pastel chalk in five rooms. This special painting technique with pastel chalk creates a dynamic of colour gradations and an expressive painting that adheres to abstraction and yet does not miss the representational. Lins’ works are characterized by aesthetic depictions that leave plenty of room for subjective interpretation.
Particularly in the case of landscapes, it is important to her that these interpretations transport the viewer into positive, dramatically beautiful atmospheres and thus displace the increasing gloom caused by the many problems and threats of our time.
