With Search of Fulfilment, Lisa D., the Austrian designer and fashion activist who lives in Berlin and Austria, is presenting a repair and transformation project centred around online logistics, fast fashion and the search for happiness together with Wilfried Prantner, Esther Kaya Stögerer and Brigitte Bidovec. Together with passers-by, initiatives, schools and associations, workshops will be held on Mariahilferplatz in Graz to continue weaving, tufting and sewing an original-sized articulated lorry sculpture made from old clothes and shoes.
In connection with this, lectures, readings and performances will explore the question of what “fulfilment”, the online retail process, has to do with fast fashion, waste production and happiness. To what extent this “fulfilment” is the epitome of our wasteful way of life, and whether it actually brings fulfilment or needs to be thoroughly reworked.
In Search of Fulfilment takes place in conjunction with the international conference “future.repair.machine”, which is hosted by the Dramatists Festival.
