Four young artists have been honoured with the Lentos Friends Art Prize 2024. All prizewinners study at the University of Art and Design Linz. The award-winning works and a selection of the submissions, which were submitted under the motto “DIGNITY”, will be presented at the Lentos Art Museum Linz.
Afsaneh Mahmoudsalehi, a student of Plastic Concepts/Ceramics at the University of Art and Design Linz, wins first prize with her installation Narratives.
Malina Mertlitsch, student and graduate of the University of Art and Design Linz, Fine Arts: Experimental, wins second prize with the work Trans-Exit.
Walentina Ammann, student at the University of Art and Design Linz, Fine Arts: Experimental Design, wins third prize with Trace (traisse).
Christian Azzouni, student Art University Linz, Visual Communication; student Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, Diploma Programme Art & Image / Context, wins the special prize with Reflecting Racism.
The Art Prize of the Lentos Friends Association was awarded for the fifth time in cooperation with the University of Art and Design Linz. From 63 submissions – a colourful mix of painting, sculpture, textiles, ceramics and digital works – the expert jury selected the four prizewinners mentioned above as well as 23 works.
