2024 marks the 10th edition of the Take The A-Train Festival. For several days in September, the Elisabeth-Vorstadt and the area around Salzburg Central Station in particular have traditionally become a musical hotspot in the city and region. Thanks to the low-threshold access and the many unusual venues, including social hotspots such as the station forecourt, the festival reaches a wide variety of population groups.
The festival opens with a performance by the Senegalese cult band Orchestra Baobab. With My Ugly Clementine, the new supergroup Multitudes, rapper Spilif and saxophonist Yvonne Moriel, the young female Austrian music scene in particular will also gain visibility. From the performance art of French multi-instrumentalist Pierre Bastien to the integration of the local club culture scene, a diverse and broad range of music will also be created in 2024.
The 2024 festival will run for a fortnight with a total of eight days.
