In 2024, Vienna Airport celebrated its 70th anniversary. To mark the occasion, eight internationally renowned photographers were invited to accompany and document the life of this very special place for 24 hours. Under the artistic direction of award-winning publisher and photographer Lois Lammerhuber and in collaboration with author Thomas Brezina, the book Der Traum vom Fliegen. From the hustle and bustle around the airport, to emotional farewells and greetings in the terminal, to quiet moments and everyday work, the book provides an insight into this small cosmos of Vienna Airport. The Bratislava Cultural Forum, Vienna Airport and Edition Lammerhuber have now produced a vivid exhibition that artistically honours the 70th anniversary and brings the subject closer to the people of Bratislava.
