CALIBRATION MUM: I PREFER NOT TO is the first institutional solo exhibition abroad by artist Elisa Jule Braun. With this exhibition, which takes place as part of the Ars Electronica Festival 2025, the OÖKunstverein presents an emerging artist whose practice explores the tensions between motherhood, artistic production and social expectations. Braun reflects on structures of care, self-determination and resistance, and raises questions about visibility and accessibility in the art world. With a sensitive yet critical approach, she questions common notions of work and productivity. The exhibition invites visitors to rethink the interactions between personal biography, artistic practice and social norms, thus opening up perspectives for a more sustainable understanding of creativity and care.
