The Bludenz Days of Contemporary Music is an international festival whose aim is to bring contemporary music to Bludenz. The highest quality is valued in both composition and interpretation. In 2025, the Bludenz Days of Contemporary Music will focus on the theme of ‘intimacy’; it will also be the first festival under the new artistic director Mirela Ivičević. At the request of allerArt, the opening concert will be particularly intimate: not only will it begin with a composition by the new artistic director, but it will also bring the Vienna Black Page Orchestra to Bludenz, an ensemble with which she has a long-standing, intensive collaboration. In addition to the piece ‘Case Black’ by Mirela Ivičević, the first concert evening will feature compositions by Allessandro Baticci, Øyvind Torvund, Yifan Guo, Maja Bosnic and a world premiere by Dror Feiler. In the piece How long is now, commissioned by the BTzM, the Swedish-Israeli composer, noise musician and peace activist addresses the radically uncompromising search for freedom.
