Under the motto Sweat it Out, the tanz_house Festival 2025 presents itself full of energy. In a time of upheaval, the festival celebrates not only the power of movement, but also the creative diversity of the Salzburg dance scene. The connection to ourselves, to our physical bodies and the truths they hold within them, can help us to better understand other people and empathise with them. In these intense times, it is essential that bodies come together, move together and sweat it all out – because the body, which is inevitably always a political entity, helps us to maintain hope. This year, ten selected productions bring vitality and creative expressiveness to the stage. With verve, sweat and dynamism, the artists create impressive experiences that invite us to immerse ourselves in the power of movement. The performances are complemented by a diverse range of offerings for the dance community, including residencies, jam sessions, open research, training sessions and a festival finale that brings audiences and artists together.
