The first Austrian Film Week in East Jerusalem and Ramallah invites you to discover the diversity and expressiveness of contemporary Austrian cinema. Initiated by the Austrian Cultural Forum Tel Aviv in cooperation with the El Hakawati Palestinian National Theatre and the Al-Kasaba Theatre, four films will be screened that address topics such as migration, belonging and resilience: 80 Plus (directed by Sabine Hiebler & Gerhard Ertl), The Village Next to Paradise (directed by Mo Harawe), Oskar & Lilli (directed by Arash T. Riahi) and To Close Your Eyes and See Fire (directed by Nicola von Leffern & Jakob Carl Sauer). The selection spans a thematic arc between personal and social perspectives. All screenings will be shown with English and Arabic subtitles.
