For five days, Götzis in Vorarlberg becomes the centre for excellent jazz in all its diversity. Under the artistic direction of internationally renowned jazz pianist David Helbock, jazz greats from all over the world meet outstanding musicians from the DACH region. The innovative format promotes creative exchange between them and with the audience – reinforced by the expanded, high-calibre programme. The multifaceted programme offers numerous highlights and opportunities for listening pleasure, as well as knowledge and creativity transfer through a diverse range of workshops. The spectrum ranges from the opening with Michael Köhlmeier and the newly founded jazzambach ensemble under the direction of Claude Diallo to other highlights such as Shake Stew, the Shuteen Erdenebaatar Quartet and the Wolfgang Muthspiel Trio with Scott Colley and Brian Blade, to jazz singing icon Norma Winstone. New additions include a family and children’s interactive concert and a school workshop to get even the youngest audiences excited about jazz.
