The exhibition Generation Beta: Overseas by Austrian-based artist Franzi Kreis focuses on family stories between Buenos Aires and Vienna. Shown at the Casa Nacional del Bicentenario cultural centre in Buenos Aires, the exhibition uses a series of photographs and personal narratives to introduce visitors to the ups and downs of life and illustrate how the social and political circumstances of our time are reflected in individual life stories. Each life story is a window to the past that allows us to glimpse the future. This project raises the fundamental question: What do we want to pass on to the next generation, Beta? Franzi Kreis works with photography, audio and film. Her project has already been presented in several cities around the world, including Rome, Cairo, Budapest and Bern.
