“!M S!NN.²” is a format developed that called on participating artists to respond artistically to a work sent to them within a short period of time; it works similarly to Chinese whispers – only with artistic translation. Starting from a common point, two different chains of reaction and inspiration emerged. This starting point was sent to two different artists, who each developed their own artistic work within 12 days, based on their very personal perception of the source material. These works were then passed on to the next participants, and the process continued. Importantly, the works were passed on with only their titles, without any additional context. Around 40 participants explored with the Knoten Kollektiv what subjective perception, inspiration and interpretation can mean.
