The Kunstverleih initiative is visiting the House of Architecture for the first time. Contemporary art does not only belong in galleries and exhibition halls; it can and should also inspire in private settings. But art is something you have to be able to afford, which means that many people are excluded from it. The Kunstverleih initiative aims to close this gap and has been building a network between Styrian artists and people interested in art since 2014. Artworks that would otherwise be stored away in boxes are circulated and bring contemporary art into private homes. All works available for loan in 2026 will be exhibited at the House of Architecture. For a loan fee of 35 euros, you can take a work of art home with you and live with contemporary art for a year. The works are, of course, insured during the loan period.
