The first part of the exhibition series curated by Margarethe Makovec & Anton Lederer, entitled *The Great Bird*, draws on mythological creatures that appear across different eras and cultures. They accompany transformation, challenge the familiar, and invite us to embrace uncertainty and change. The series is inspired by a lecture by the philosopher and founder of The Emergence Network, Báyò Akómoláfé. The first part takes its starting point from the Great Bird – in Akómoláfé’s work, this is Ziz, who is associated with air and atmosphere, but also establishes a connection to the earth. This encourages us to look upwards whilst at the same time critically questioning the cycles we live in and what sustains us. The AYOCOTL Seed Library for All is launching as part of the exhibition. And outside the door, on Orpheumgasse, a parklet – a small green oasis – invites visitors to linger.
