The Austrian Embassy and the Cultural Forum Paris are inviting the renowned Minetti Quartet to perform a series of concerts in France. Following a concert in Nice, organised in collaboration with the Austrian Honorary Consul there, a further concert will take place at the Embassy in Paris. The programme offers a journey through Viennese Classicism and the waltz – featuring works by Mozart, Schubert, Lanner and Johann Strauss (Jr.), along with musical links to French composers. The Minetti Quartet was founded in 2003; the name ‘Minetti’ is derived from a play by Thomas Bernhard. The quartet comprises Maria Ehmer (violin), Anna Knopp (violin), Leonhard Roczek (cello; all three studied at the mdw Vienna) and Milan Milojicic (who studied viola at the Mozarteum Salzburg, among other institutions, where he now teaches). Leonhard Roczek heads the Department of String and Plucked Instruments at the Mozarteum Salzburg.
