The current exhibition at the Stadtgalerie is dedicated to the artist Gisela Katzengruber (1930–2020), who passed away in 2020. The focus is on the artistic field in which Katzengruber worked. She was a prominent and active figure in the Salzburg art scene from the mid-1990s through to the 2010s. Stephen Mathewson, a friend and curator, has designed the exhibition, drawing on themes of the era and the legendary Alcatraz exhibition space in Hallein.
