The dance performance “AnotherR”, a co-production by orgAnic reVolt and the Tanz OFF Theater from Vienna, will be performing at the Tanzhaus Basel in June. The piece explores the impact of virtual realities on the body, perception and social interaction. In an intense, physically driven production, two dancers and a DJ examine how digitalisation is changing the way we think, feel and move. Equipped with VR headsets, striking visuals and electronic sounds, the performers increasingly lose their bearings between reality and illusion. The work demonstrates how ambivalent digital spaces can be – simultaneously fascinating and unsettling – and how deeply they shape our self-image and our relationships. “AnotherR” is a profound exploration of isolation, identity and the question of orientation between the real and virtual worlds.
