FILTER 2.0 is a themed group exhibition. This time, in 2026, the focus is on the illwerke vkw collection. What does an energy company from Vorarlberg have to do with contemporary visual art from Vorarlberg? Both worlds – artists and companies alike – draw their strength, resources and inspiration from the region. Both are closely connected to the region, its traditions and its distinctive character. And both are independent and distinctive because they share common roots that are not lost even in their engagement with international markets and influences. The fact that the companies of illwerke vkw engage in dialogue with local artists in a variety of ways and collect art is therefore much more than mere patronage. It is about creating and conveying values. It is about perspectives, about the conviction that the environment in which people work matters. It therefore makes sense to exhibit a comparison of works purchased many years ago alongside current works by the artists.
