The Carinthian Cultural Foundation (KKS) has set itself the task of promoting and connecting art and culture from Carinthia. The KKS is now presenting an exhibition at the Factory featuring contemporary artists from Carinthia. Through selected works by nine nationally and internationally recognised artists, the exhibition highlights their origins in southern Austria. FROM CARINTHIA, curated by Christine Wetzlinger-Grundnig and Ulli Sturm, showcases representative major works from different creative periods by Maria Lassnig, Kiki Kogelnik, Meina Schellander, Hans Staudacher, Bruno Gironcoli, Hans Bischoffshausen, Peter Krawagna, Valentin Oman and Wolfgang Hollegha. The works on loan for the exhibition come from the collections of the Province of Carinthia, the STRABAG ART Collection and the Liaunig Collection, and encompass painting, printmaking, sculpture and object art from 1960 to 2025.
