Benjamin Nagy, winner of the PARALLEL VIENNA | Bildrecht YOUNG ARTIST Award 2025, conceives Bildraum 01 as a temporary archive of a preserved gesture of peace, thereby creating a space for reflection in which the complexity and fragility of human coexistence become visible. The title *Perpetuum Mobile* serves as a conceptual framework. The idea of a machine that maintains perpetual motion without an external energy supply becomes a metaphor for peace as a state that is supposedly taken for granted. In reality, however, peace only endures where it is continuously established, nurtured and renewed.
