Scholz’s sculptural and installation-based practice removes everyday objects from their functional contexts and places them within expanded fields of meaning. Everyday objects – furniture components, containers, exhibition structures – are stripped of their purpose and made to express a different level: a level of scales, implications and open references. Following cosmo (Cache, 2025) and ludo (Global International, 2026), Sebastian Scholz expands his two previous installations into a trilogy with paula. The dreaming and the playing child merge into an adolescent state in which learned meanings are questioned, reordered and expanded.
