Berlin-based artist Filip Caranica’s work straddles the boundaries between image and sound. Taking contemporary music as his starting point, he explores sound not only as an acoustic phenomenon, but also as an invisible interaction between bodies and as an expression of social relationships. His audiovisual works deal, amongst other things, with migration and identity, as well as materiality and spirituality. He is developing a large-scale sound and video installation for the basement spaces of the Künstlerhaus.
