The Fondazione Mudima in Milan is presenting an exhibition by the Austrian artist Helmut Schober, which traces the key stages of his career from the 1970s to the present day. The focus is on his artistic exploration of light, which Schober examines through performance, painting, colour and material. The motif of the vortex plays a particular role in this. The exhibition includes, amongst other things, works that were shown at the Venice Biennale in 1986 and at Documenta VIII in Kassel in 1987. It also serves as a tribute to Schober’s international exhibition *Turner and Schober. Two Creators of Light* (2002), which was organised in collaboration with the Tate Gallery in Manchester.
