Films of a new generation. The Juvinale Nachwuchsfilmfest brings young cinema to the screen.
Festival Juvinale revolves around the works of aspiring filmmakers under the age of 26. For four days the newcomer festival will feature productions made by young filmmakers from German-speaking regions. The programme doesn’t only include screenings and the Juvinale Awards, but also workshops, discussions and open-air events. This international film festival also provides young filmmakers with a platform for networking and exchanging ideas.
The films from the genres animation, documentary, fiction and clips cover a wide variety of topics: the short documentary “Die Arbeit mit dem Tod” (Work with death) by Bianca Weber, for example, provides insight into the work of a hospice worker, Michael Ciesielski tells the story of a special encounter between a young man and a blind woman in “Für Fritzi” and Christoffer Borggren’s clip “Believe” aims to encourage young people to take their future into their own hands.
