Tricky Women, the Austrian festival for female animated filmmaking, celebrates its 20th birthday this year with an online edition. Due to Corona, the festival will take place exclusively digitally in 2021.
Under the motto “Glitter and Glory,” Tricky Women will occupy the digital space; in addition to the pure film presentation, an extensive supporting program will also take place. Readings on patriarchal storytelling and possible alternatives will take place under the motto “Change the Narrative”. Filmic installations will be dedicated to the interface between body and environment, becoming and having been. One focus this year is dedicated to the film country par excellence: France.
