During “Buch Wien”, literature conquers the city of Vienna together with the “Lesefestwoche” program. In addition to the central venue at the Vienna Exhibition Center, there are literary programmes, readings and panel discussions on the subject of literature and book culture at numerous locations throughout the city.
Since “Buch Wien” was launched in its current form in 2008, the event has steadily expanded. During this time, the Book Fair has established itself as an important hub for literature and book culture between Eastern and Western Europe.
Both the ›Internationale Literaturdialoge‹ 2021 and the ›Internationale Literaturdialoge‹ 2022 are present at Buch Wien.
The “Long Night of Books” will kick off on the evening before the fair. The program days are peppered with hundreds of literary events with local and international authors.
