In her new exhibition ISLA, the artist Bianca Tschaikner shows a project that was started during an artist residency at the Fundació Miró in Palma, Mallorca in October 2021 – prints and drawings as well as ceramic objects and porcelain bowls.
“ISLA” is part of the “Spanish Series”, the first of which was shown in 2021 in the exhibition “The Far Province” at Galerie Lisi Hämmerle. While The Far Province project originated in Northern Spain and Winter and is the mapping of a deep, dark world, ISLA represents the South, summer, and the brightnss and wideness.
