Hardly any other personality was as much in the focus of the activities of the Viennese avant-gardes as Gertie Fröhlich (1930-2020). In her pictures, Gertie Fröhlich tells her own story. In five chapters, the exhibition provides an insight into essential stages and themes of her life and shows the entire range of her works on paper, canvas and textile – from poster designs to paintings and her tapestries. The majority of the exhibits come from the Gertie Fröhlich Estate, supplemented by numerous private and public loans.
