Martin Walde’s works and projects seem to lead in different directions, seem not to fit together. Most of the works develop from various phenomena, situations, moments that are woven into the patterns of our social life, society, our political life, the private and the public – our joys and fears.
Due to their divergent approaches, Walde’s projects and works are sometimes seen as conceptually related artworks. But if you look at them in process, it becomes clear that they do not correspond to any particular conceptual line and are heterogeneous not only in form but also in content. The projects develop and enter into a very flexible dialogue with the individual or the many.
