Once again, Vienna will become the centre of the now legendary SLASH Film Festival this autumn. Three cinemas will present the most fantastic, terrifying and bizarre cinematic capers of contemporary genre cinema. Slash will open at the Gartenbaukino with an Austrian premiere: WELCOME HOME BABY by Andreas Prohaska. Already established as a cult director of dark Austrian films with In 3 Tagen bist du tot Teil 1 und 2 (You’re Dead in 3 Days Parts 1 and 2) and Das finstere Tal (The Dark Valley), Prochaska delivers an atmospheric psychological thriller with his new work. WELCOME HOME BABY is a visually stunning frenzy on the brink of the abyss, featuring a star-studded cast including Julia Franz Richter, Gerti Drassl and Maria Hofstätter.
