21.10.2025 – 23.10.2025
Despite the hustle and bustle of everyday life, not everything has to be done quickly. Slow Food, a global movement for enjoyable, conscious and regional food, is one way of counteracting stressful lifestyles. For two decades, Slow Food Pinzgau has been committed to conscious enjoyment, sustainable agriculture and the preservation of culinary traditions in the region. To mark its 20th anniversary, the Convivium is hosting a three-day anniversary event at the Kunsthaus Nexus. The focus is on the historical and culinary connection between Venice and Salzburg. The highlight is the film premiere by Hans Fuchs – a portrait of the Convivium and its partners from agriculture, gastronomy and education. This year’s Slow Food Days will focus on the cultural exchange between Salzburg and Venice. Numerous producers, chefs and network partners will enrich the culinary offerings. In an open discussion, Barbara Loferer (chairwoman of the ‘Felbertauern-Samer’ association in Mittersill), Dr Andrea Dillinger (historian, Museum Schloss Ritzen) and Ao. Univ.-Prof. DDr. i. R. Gerhard Ammerer (University of Salzburg) will shed light on these historical connections. Moderator: Dr Wolfgang Schäffner. This will be followed by the premiere of the film ‘20 Years of Slow Food Pinzgau’ by Hans Fuchs – a lively portrayal of the Slow Food philosophy in action.
