The exhibition at the allerart gallery is dedicated to the work of South Tyrol-born artist Clemens Tschurtschenthaler. His practice is characterised by a strongly transmedial approach. He works with objects and kinetic sculpture as well as with immaterial media such as sound and video, which he arranges in large-scale installations. The threshold between ego and group – the self and the environment – forms the basis for the formulation of his own sculptural language, which oscillates between the present and the past as well as physical and immaterial presence. The duality of the natural and the artificial – material references to urbanity and nature – are central elements in Tschurtschenthaler’s work. He constructs realities that translate inner psychological worlds into the outside world.
