Under the motto ‘Confidence!’, Montfort Zwischentöne is sending a clear message and making a strong statement in response to this year’s gloomy political situation. Various formats such as concerts, lectures and performances give the audience the opportunity to engage with the topic. A very special project awaits listeners at the Montforthaus this year with ‘#freebruckner’.
The Stegreif Orchestra will be performing its project based on Anton Bruckner’s 7th Symphony at the Zwischentöne festival. The 30 orchestra musicians, plus saxophone, drum set, electric guitar and their own voices, will present the famous work in a completely new, improvisational guise. They were recently nominated for the Opus Klassik Prize in three categories for this project. In addition, personalities from very different backgrounds will discuss the topic in dialogues during ‘Three Evenings on Confidence’. Participants include women’s rights activist Seyran Ateş, bestselling author Melanie Wolfers and international law expert Andreas Müller.
This year, renowned Austrian philosopher Lisz Hirn has been recruited for the ‘Funeral’, one of Zwischentöne’s classic formats. In her eulogy, she will focus on the confidence that remains with us even without this characteristic.
As always, the so-called Salon Paulas will run parallel to the festival. Various artists from the festival will give private concerts at kitchen tables and in living rooms in and around Feldkirch.
