With the exhibition ‘Souvenir – Dear Louise, Dear Lois …’ at the Künstlerhaus Bregenz, works by the Schwärzler couple are returning for the first time in many years to the place where they frequently exhibited during their lifetime. Parallel to this, Eva Kees’ own works are on display, revealing thematic and atmospheric parallels and placing them in a contemporary context. The show is complemented by a previously unpublished interview from the 1990s, which offers new insights into the thoughts and convictions of Louise and Alois Schwärzler.
