With the exhibition ‘enragiert II’ (enraged II), Vorarlberg artist Manfred Egender presents new works at the Künstlerhaus Bregenz that move at the intersection of drawing, painting and plastic form. Egender’s works are characterised by a precise signature style – a gestural exploration of material, surface and space. In ‘enragiert II’, this process is intensified. The result is works that appear both fragile and powerful. In them, Egender explores the limits of the medium itself and works with plaster as his material. With this exhibition, the Künstlerhaus Bregenz offers a concentrated insight into the current work of an artist who has been re-examining the visual language of drawing for years.
