MY WORLD ON FIRE brings together city and countryside, past and present, global perspectives and local contexts, creating a dynamic interplay. Some of the works have been created specifically for the exhibition: Jonathan Meese is creating an installation on site, whilst new works are being presented by Madeline von Foerster and Thomas Baumann, amongst others. Martin Parr, one of the defining photographic voices of our time, is also represented, as is Judy Chicago, whose work has for decades interpreted fire as a source of feminist and ritual energy.
