Beate Gatschelhofer has been invited to take part in the 45th International Terra Terracotta Sculpture Symposium in Kikinda, Serbia. Founded in 1982, the symposium is one of the world’s most significant events for large-scale terracotta sculptures and boasts a collection of more than 1,200 works by international artists. During her one-month stay, Gatschelhofer is developing new ceramic works, making use of the materials and production facilities at the Terra Centre. The resulting works will be presented in exhibitions and in the symposium’s annual catalogue.
