Through her work, installation artist Luka Berchtold explores the complex realms of ambivalent emotions and forms of communication. Her artistic vocabulary, drawn from sculptural media, offers insights into social and personal depths. By engaging with materials and aesthetic tradition whilst positioning herself at the intersection of tenderness and intimacy, authority and convention, she gives new form to household objects, building materials and overlooked emotions. This makes it possible to speak of those vulnerabilities, insecurities and ingrained habits that often find no place in everyday life.
